Operation Julemand team takes Golden Knight award Published Jan. 29, 2010 By Staff Reports 21st Space Wing Public Affairs Office PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- The November Golden Knight award winner is the Operation Julemand team at Thule Air Base. Operation Julemand, Danish for Christmas man, is an annual event. This year American, Danish and Canadian donations purchased more than 500 Christmas gifts, playground equipment and more for 250 local Greenlandic children in seven villages. The team also collected and delivered through a local priest more than 1,800 pounds of clothing and non-perishable goods, further strengthening multi-national relationships.
