Space Delta 7 Fact Sheet

Space Delta 7 - Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR)

Space Delta 7 (DEL 7) is the operational Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) element of the U.S. Space Force. The ISR Delta provides critical, time sensitive and actionable intelligence for space domain operations to allow for the detection, characterization and targeting of adversary space capabilities. DEL 7 employs a variety of fixed and mobile sensors across the globe operated by ISR professionals to enable the United States Space Force  to gain and maintain space superiority.

MISSION

Execute global ISR operations to gain and maintain information dominance in the space domain.

VISION

Deliver and drive space operations by providing timely, accurate and actionable intelligence in the execution of the National Defense Strategy priorities.

HISTORY

DEL 7 was activated July 24, 2020 during a ceremony at Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado. Their operating location is Peterson Space Force Base. DEL 7 was previously the 544th ISR Group, USAF.

UNITS WITHIN DELTA 7

71 ISR Squadron: The 71st Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Squadron, located at Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado, provides day to day command and control of DEL 7 operations across the globe and provides direct ISR support to other USSF Deltas through embedded ISR detachments.

72 ISR Squadron:  The 72nd Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Squadron, located at Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado, conducts global, deployable ISR operations to drive space control effects for the Commander, U.S. Space Command (USSPACECOM), other Joint Force commanders (JFCs), and the USSF as directed.

73 ISR Squadron: The 73rd Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Squadron, located at Wright Patterson AFB, Ohio, conducts global ISR operations to support the research, development and acquisition of future space capabilities.

74 ISR Squadron: The 74th Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Squadron, located at Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado, provides tailored threat analysis and intelligence production for tactical space operations. Their vision is to provide meaningful threat application to empower space operations to combat current, emerging and future adversaries.

75 ISR Squadron: The 75th Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Squadron, located at Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado, provides effects-based targeting solutions in support of USSF space superiority capabilities, space component commanders, and combatant commanders.

76 ISR Squadron: The 76th Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Squadron, located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, will improve and integrate ISR capabilities that will enable comprehensive military advantage in space. This squadron will be the first and only space ISR unit charged with exploiting and fusing intelligence data from all available sources specifically in support of US space superiority and enabling US decision advantage in the space domain, the newest warfighting domain. As our nation's competitors continue to present challenges to US interests in space, the 76 ISRS will maintain a watchful eye through our mission of delivering enhanced threat warning to the DoD, interagency, and Allies/Partners operating in this domain.
