VANDENBERG SPACE FORCE BASE, Calif. -- United States Space Force Lt. Col. Jacob Majewski took command of the Space Delta 6 – Space Access and Cyberspace Operations 65th Cyberspace Squadron located at Vandenberg Space Force Base, California, July 21, 2023.
The 65 CYS assumed a new mission of defending the computer systems and networks used by Space Delta 5 – Command and Control and the Combined Space Operations Center against adversary actions in cyberspace.
During the change of command, USSF Col. Christopher Kennedy, DEL 6 commander, passed the squadron guidon to Majewski to symbolize the change of command. The change of command ceremony marks a seamless transition of leadership and a shared commitment to the mission.
Majewski articulated his vision for the future of the 65 CYS before rendered his first salute to the unit as commander.
