What's your problem? Published Aug. 11, 2014 By Beverly Price Community Support Coordinator PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- If you recently relocated to Peterson AFB this summer, welcome! You will find a thriving military community, both on and off-base. There are always plenty of events and activities with which to become involved, either as a volunteer or a participant. Sometimes, however, when relocating to a new duty station, it can be difficult to know where to go for assistance, or how to find the right resource for a particular issue or concern. The community support coordinator, who works with the Integrated Delivery System, functions as an information and referral point for both on and off-base resources. The IDS is a team of helping agency professionals who serve the military community. The IDS is comprised of representatives from the Airman and Family Readiness Center, Health and Wellness Center, the chapel, mental health, family advocacy, Exceptional Family Member Program managers and a school liaison officer. The IDS also comprises community partners such as the American Red Cross and the Armed Services YMCA. The team offers a variety of programs and services to both families and service members and stands ready to assist with any issue you may face. Stay informed by connecting either through the Peterson AFB Community Support Facebook page or by sending an email to 21sw.caib.ids@us.af.mil to be included in the email distribution system. Please submit a personal email address versus a .mil address so you do not miss a great opportunity. For information, contact the community support coordinator at 556-6768.
