PETERSON SPACE FORCE BASE, Colo. -- Peterson Space Force Base's North Gate will be closed due to construction efforts beginning Tuesday, April 16 for security improvements and to replace the security forces guard shack which is more than 40 years old. All traffic operations will be closed until further notice. Colorado Military Academy pedestrian turnstile operations will remain open for business for all faculty, students, and parents. Construction is tentatively projected to end in November 2024, weather permitting. Please refer to the following information for alternate gate hours while construction is being completed. Delays are anticipated, please allow extra commute time.
West Gate - Open 24/7 for inbound and outbound traffic.
East Gate - Open 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. for inbound and outbound traffic (Monday-Friday).
Open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. for inbound and outbound traffic (Saturday & Sunday).
Closed on Holidays.
Old East Gate: Open 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. for inbound traffic (Monday-Friday).
Open 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. for outbound traffic (Monday-Friday). No outbound left turns.
Closed on Weekends & Holidays.
Visitor Center - Open 7 a.m. – 4p.m. for issuing passes (Monday-Friday).
