The base auditorium seems like a real movie theater again with Hollywood movies on the big screen and popcorn and soda for sale in the lobby. Thanks to the 21st Services Squadron, the base auditorium opened its doors Feb. 1 for what has been a well-received weekly event for Airmen and their families.

Films showing at the base auditorium are recent releases like the movie 27 Dresses (PG-13), shown March 29, and Sweeny Todd, the Demon Barber of Fleet Street (R), scheduled for 7 p.m., April 7. While students in the Pikes Peak region were on spring break March 24-28, the base auditorium ran a special series of films - the Star Wars blockbusters - on three different nights. Don't miss Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (PG) at 1 p.m., April 7.

Films for mature audiences are shown at 7 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays; films rated for family viewing are shown at 1 p.m. Saturdays. Movie Night is also a regular part of the monthly Deployed Families Dinner program, with a film viewing for families immediately following the dinner.

All movies are free and open to all eligible users of Peterson. Anyone eligible to come on to the base may bring family members or friends to view the free films.
