When guests arrive, special events form is on your side Published July 6, 2010 By 21st Security Forces Squadron PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- Personnel having a special event on base that involves guests without base access must fill out a special event form, available from the visitor control center. According to the Installation Defense Plan, special event forms must be turned in 72 business hours prior to the event in order for the VCC staff to have time to process the list. When a list is processed, every person on the list gets a background check. There are several simple things to make sure of before turning in your special event form, otherwise you could be turned away. They are: 1. The list is in alphabetical order by last name 2. Each person listed has a driver's license with state OR (for Colorado residents only) a date of birth listed 3. The sponsor is a valid military ID card holder 4. Dates and times are clearly printed on the first page of the form Call the VCC at 556-6660 to request a blank special event form. Be sure to check the completed form for accuracy; make sure it is brought to the VCC a minimum of 72 business hours prior to the event; and has the last names in alphabetical order to ensure ease of access to the base.
