21st MDG hosts school, sports physical event Published July 2, 2012 By 21st Medical Group PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- The 2012-2013 school year is quickly approaching requiring many children to complete a school or sports physical. Due to the large number of school-aged beneficiaries requiring a physical exam, it can be difficult to obtain a scheduled appointment in the clinic. Therefore, the 21st Medical Group is hosting a school/sports physical event from 1-3 p.m. July 12. This is a great opportunity for the patients enrolled at the Peterson and Schriever Clinics to "beat the rush" and complete needed physical exams. The school/sports physical event will be for children 5-18 years old. In order to accommodate a large number of patients, this visit is for school/sport physicals only. When calling to make an appointment, please specify that is a school/sports physical appointment. No other medical concerns will be addressed. Children with asthma, cardiac issues, head injuries in the last two years, or other chronic medical conditions must make a regular appointment with their primary care provider. Patients should arrive 30 minutes prior to their appointment to complete a pre-screening questionnaire and check-in prior to being assessed by the medical provider.
