U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Christopher J. Williams, 21st Comptroller Squadron noncommissioned officer in charge of financial analysis, was selected for the Senior Leader Enlisted Commissioning Program – Officer Training School on Nov. 8, 2022.

SLECP-O grants designated Air Force and Space Force senior leaders the ability to directly choose an exceptionally performing Airman or Guardian to commission through OTS.

“Tech. Sgt. Williams is a hard worker and leader, so while I wasn’t surprised [by his selection], it was rewarding to see that others recognized his talents,” said U.S. Air Force Capt. Matthew Chumaceiro, 21st CPTS flight commander.

Williams will attend OTS to become a logistics readiness officer with the hopes of staying on active duty as long as possible.

“I love serving, and I am excited to do so in my new capacity,” said Williams.

His humble leadership and sustained superior-performance are qualities that led to Williams’ selection, said Chumaceiro. “If you look at his entire career, there hasn’t been a year where he has let his foot off the gas.”

Airmen or Guardians chosen for SLECP-O are given the opportunity to thrive in a learning environment, and ultimately earn their commission.

“My family and I are ecstatic!” said Williams. “This has been a dream of ours for quite some time, and we are thrilled to embark on the next journey together.”

Williams looks forward to bringing a unique perspective to the training environment, developing and honing his skills, and participating in organized physical training again.

Congratulations Tech. Sgt. Williams on this incredible accomplishment!
