Breaking through abuse: Airman works through past trials
PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Lt. Col. Stephanie Forsythe, 21st Medical Support Squadron diagnostic and therapeutic flight commander, attempted suicide at 23 years old. This was due to numerous factors, including lack of sleep, no longer working toward a goal and dealing with past abuse. Through intensive therapy, Forsythe said she gained new goals and earned her job in the pharmacy back. Later, Forsythe and her husband married in 2012 in Pittsburgh, Pa., and had a daughter.
