Educating kids at STARBASE Academy
PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. – Staff Sgt. Jennifer Hobson, 21st Aerospace Medical Squadron bioenvironmental engineering technician, explains how chemical testing strips work and the meaning behind the changing of the colors to fifth grade students from Mark Twain Elementary at the STARBASE Academy, April 30, 2015. Senior Airman James Boone and Hobson described some of their daily duties and the science behind the chemical suits, and explained how they conduct water and chemical testing. STARBASE is a Department of Defense youth program where local students come to Peterson and learn about science, technology, engineering and math.
