Sharp Warrior
PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. – Master Sgt. Chet Tonge and Tech. Sgt. Charles McBride, on behalf of the Pikes Peak Top 3, present Staff Sgt. Omar Butler, 21st Logistics Readiness Squadron, the September 2014 Sharp Warrior Award Oct. 31. Butler resolved a critical situation for a short-notice deployer, getting him the only seat available to arrive by his deployment date, ensuring timely movement to the area of responsibility. Without Butler’s actions, this position would have been vacant for more than a week, negatively impacting intelligence support to special operations in the Central Command theatre. Butler’s dedication and proficiency at his duties, and professionalism on and off duty, led to his selection as the Sharp Warrior. (U.S. Air Force photo)
