Inipi
The altar of the Inipi, at the sweat lodge, is where participants leave offerings, typically tobacco. Spiritual leaders have run the sweat lodge at Turkey Creek Ranch, 10 miles south of Fort Carson on State Highway 115, since 1994. Sweat lodge is a traditional Native American purification ceremony and is open to anyone who wants to pray and sing in support of military troops. (U.S. Air Force photo/Monica Mendoza)
