National Prayer Lunch
The Peterson Air Force Base National Prayer Luncheon, Feb. 10 at The Club, opened with prayers from (from left) Tech. Sgt. Shayne Hyde, 21st Space Wing noncommissioned officer in charge of chapel readiness; Louis Steinberg, Peterson Air Force Base Jewish lay leader; and Chief Master Sgt. Ibrahim Hamdan, 21st Force Support Squadron Sustainment Services Flight. Sergeant Hyde read from Christian scripture, Mr. Steinberg gave a Hebrew reading and Chief Hamdan read a Muslim prayer in Arabic. In 1953, members of the U.S. Senate and House, with President Dwight D. Eisenhower, established the first National Prayer Breakfast. (U.S. Air Force photo/Monica Mendoza)
