21st SFS gets active shooter training
An Airman and a Department of Defense police officer provide medical care to an “injured” person during an Active Shooter Instructor Course, which included Airmen and DoD police from the 21st Security Forces Squadron. Airmen and DoD police from six other squadrons in Air Force Space Command also participated in the training, held May 2- 5 at Fort Carson Army Installation’s Range 60. Security forces personnel participated in a five-day, 48-hour training Active Shooter Instructor training course with the goal of going back to their individual squadrons to provide on-going training and preparation in the event that a shooter enters a base installation.
