Operation Homefront
PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- Volunteers help families pick out toys for their children during the Operation Homefront toy drive Dec. 10 at the chapel. Parents selected toys for 389 children during the drive. Each child received one large toy or gift card, and 20 smaller stocking stuffers. Toys were provided by Dollar Tree and other organizations as well as private donors. Volunteers from the 4th Space Company, 561st NOS, and Headquarters Air Force Space Command unloaded the toys and set up the “shopping” area. Volunteers from the key spouses and Peterson, Schriever and Cheyenne Mountain Spouses Clubs helped parents entertain children, carry bags and load cars. (U.S. Air Force photo/Lea Johnson)
