Two teams named Golden Knights for January Published March 3, 2010 By Staff Reports 21st Space Wing Public Affairs Office PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- The January Golden Knight award went to two organizations: the 13th and 213th Space Warning Squadron geographically separated unit staff assistance visit team, and the LeMay Preparation Team from the 21st Force Support Squadron. The 13th/213th SWS SAV team includes: Lt. Col. Aaron Bass, 21st Operations Group; Maj. Penny Haspil, 21st OG; Capt. Steve Viveiros, 21st OG; Capt. Christopher Roome, 21st Operations Support Squadron; Capt. Stanley Maczek, 21st OSS; Senior Master Sgt. Joel Brown, 21st OG; Master Sgt. Doug Way, 21st OSS; Master Sgt. Jessie Moreno, 21st Civil Engineer Squadron; Sgt. Chad Raycraft, 21st OG; Tech. Sgt. Christopher Jannereth, 21st Security Forces Squadron; Tech. Sgt. Phillip Miller, 21st OG; Tech. Sgt. Richard Rayos, 21st Force Support Squadron; Staff Sgt. Scott Anderson, 21st OSS; Senior Airman Mark Tomasetti, 21st OG; Mr. Ronald Burrell, 21st Space Wing Safety Office; and Rodney Frazier, 21st Logistics Readiness Squadron. The team integrated to support Clear Air Force Station, the first team of its type, including synchronizing activities of nine career fields into one cohesive team, providing the most comprehensive SAV ever. It also coordinated a full evacuation exercise for the radar building, ensuring the ability to activate an alternate operations center, and implemented operations group priorities and culture of compliance for the most in-depth compliance check seen by the commander. The LeMay preparation team included 1st Lt. James Harris, Jacquie Truckey, Cathy Lovelady and Bonnie Rivera. With approximately two weeks' notice, this team developed and executed a plan to host the 2010 Air Force General Curtis E. LeMay Award Evaluation Team. Their hard work, long hours and focus on this short-term objective proved to be outstanding as the evaluation team departed Peterson with sincere appreciation for the support 21st FSS provides to the Team Pete community. The 21st FSS went on to win the prestigious LeMay award as the best service organization in the Air Force.
