Wing courts-martial four Airmen Published Dec. 27, 2013 By 21st Space Wing Staff Judge Advocate Office PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- On Dec. 5, a special court-martial was held to hear the case of an airman first class from the 21st Comptroller Squadron. Pursuant to a pretrial agreement the Airman pled guilty to wrongful use of methylenedeioxymethamphetamine (MDMA) and wrongful use of marijuana, both in violation of Article 112a, Uniform Code of Military Justice. Additionally the Airman pled guilty to violation of a lawful general order for using spice roughly 90 times and violation of a lawful general order for using "molly," a substance that alters mood or function. Both of these offenses were in violation of Article 92, UCMJ, specifically AFI 44-121. A military judge sitting alone sentenced the Airman to be reduced in rank to E-1, to be confined for 45 days, to serve 45 days hard labor without confinement and to forfeit $500 pay per month for three months. On Dec. 13, a summary court-martial convened here and pursuant to a pretrial agreement found an airman first class from the 21st Contracting Squadron guilty of wrongful use of MDMA in violation of Article 112a, UCMJ. The summary court-martial sentenced the Airman to be confined for five days, to be restricted to base for 21 days, to perform 10 days hard labor without confinement, to forfeit $500 and to be reduced to the rank of E-2. On Dec. 17, a summary court-martial convened at Peterson AFB and pursuant to a pretrial agreement found an airman first class from the 21st CONS guilty of wrongful use of methylenedeioxyamphetamine. The summary court-martial sentenced the airman first class to be reduced in rank to E-1, to perform hard labor without confinement for 45 days and to forfeit $1,010. On Dec. 19, a summary court-martial convened here and pursuant to a pretrial agreement found a senior airman from the 21st Security Forces Squadron guilty of wrongfully using marijuana on multiple occasions, in violation of Article 112a, UCMJ, and wrongfully using spice on multiple occasions, in violation of Article 92, UCMJ. In addition the court found the Airman guilty of wrongfully and unlawfully fleeing the scene of an accident in violation of Article 134, UCMJ. The summary court-martial sentenced the Airman to 13 days confinement and reduction to E-1.
