Cheyenne Mountain AFS holds Vigilant Shield exercise
CHEYENNE MOUNTAIN AIR FORCE STATION, Colo. — Chaplain (1st Lt.) Joshua Flynn, 21st Space Wing chaplain, kneels next to a simulated wound victim that medical staff has deemed will pass away due to her injuries. During this critical moment in life, clergy personnel are responsible for providing comfort and administering Last Rites, a tradition that has carried on from the earliest days on the battlefield. This was all part of the Vigilant Shield exercise Oct. 20-26 where CMAFS team members responded to real-world scenarios that could take place within the mountain.
