Ent is the registered trade name of Ent Federal Credit Union, a member-owned, not-for-profit financial cooperative charted in 1957 on the former Ent Air Force Base (now the Olympic Training Center). The base and the credit union were both named for Maj. Gen. Uzal Girard Ent, commander of the Ninth Air Force during World War II. In the early days, Ent membership was only available to military and civilian personnel at the base and at Peterson Field. Over the years, Ent has added on-base locations at Schriever and Buckley Air Force bases and opened credit union membership to Reservists with the Colorado Air National Guard and Colorado Army National Guard.
