Changes coming to voice mail system Published March 9, 2015 By 21st Space Wing Public Affairs Office PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- Over the next 12 months the 21st Communications Squadron will migrate all users with voice mail accounts, call trees and audio bulletin boards to a new voice mail platform. The new voice mail platform includes greater capabilities which supports the Department of Defense's phased approach to introducing unified capabilities--a collaborative environment which enables a more efficient and effective workforce across the DoD enterprise. During Phase I (April-December 2015), 21st CS will migrate users to the new platform; Phase II (spring 2016) will include integrating the system into the base network so users can receive e-mail notifications upon receipt of voice mail messages. To enable Phase I, Peterson users will receive an e-mail from the voice mail migration team requesting: first/last name, e-mail address, phone number, organization, building and room number. Once your account is created, users will receive a second e-mail with specific instructions to establish a new pin and greeting. For organizations with call trees and/or audio bulletin boards, 21st CS will contact owning units to validate requirements and to reprogram the message(s) into the new system. Forward specific questions to the 21st CS at 21cs.sco.wf@us.af.mil.
