AFPC cyber officer assignment team visits area bases Published March 17, 2015 By Maj. Michael Williams Headquarters Air Force Space Command PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- One of the most important aspects of preparing a peacetime force for a wartime mission is through education and training. In a command that leads at the edge of some of the most innovative warfighting developments, Air Force Space Command, and its elite cadre of cyberspace pioneers are no exception. The Air Force Personnel Center Cyber Officer Assignments team will return to Colorado Springs area Air Force installations, March 25-27, to provide education and training via a "spread the word" briefing to interested cyberspace officers. The pace of change in cyberspace is unparalleled and can contribute to uncertainty and misconceptions. For those who operate in the cyberspace officer career field (or support or supervise those who do) expanding your vision through knowledge can alleviate concerns and answer key questions. There will be a number of "spread the word" cyberspace officer briefings held at: U.S. Air Force Academy (1 p.m. March 25), Peterson AFB theater (8 a.m. March 26) and Schriever AFB, building 300 (8 a.m. March 27). If you'd like to know more or have questions, contact the AFSPC 17D Cyberspace officer functional manager, at 554-3431.
