Military Treatment Facilities in Colorado Springs have enacted mandatory enrollment to an MTF within the Colorado Springs Military Health System for all TRICARE Prime beneficiaries. Non-active-duty members may enroll to any MTF in Colorado Springs to include; the United States Air Force Academy Clinic (currently closed to all new retirees), Peterson AFB Clinic, Schriever AFB Clinic, Evans Army Community Hospital, Mountain Post Medical Home Clinic and Premier Medical Home Clinic. All non-active duty members have the option of TRICARE Standard, a fee-for-service option where the beneficiary pays more for the freedom to choose from a larger provider pool without having to get a prior authorization for most TRICARE-covered medical services. Under TRICARE Standard, eligible beneficiaries have the freedom to choose any TRICARE-authorized provider for TRICARE-covered services. TRICARE Standard is available worldwide. Please know that the rate for TRICARE Standard includes a deductible of $150.00 for an individual and $300.00 for a family. Once the deductible is met, beneficiary is responsible for 20% of the TRICARE allowable charge. TRICARE Plus is a Primary Care Program offered at some Military Treatment Facilities for Medicare/TRICARE for Life eligible enrollees. At this time, the 21st Medical Group is currently closed for TRICARE Plus enrollment.
