COP’S CORNER – DECEMBER 2015 Published Feb. 8, 2016 By 21st Security Forces Squadron PETERSON AIR FORCE, Colo. -- During December, the 21st Security Forces Squadron, along with facility parking wardens issued 48 traffic citations. Speed infractions comprised of the majority of the citations, followed by registration and licensing infractions. Additionally, the same categories comprised a majority of the 15 driving suspensions during the month. Traffic Complaints - If you wish to report unsafe driving such as following too closely, excessive speed, careless driving, etc, you may report such behaviors to 21st SFS, at 556-4000. You will be asked to provide a vehicle and driver descriptions, the location and direction of the vehicle, and a description of the violation you observed. You will be asked to complete a written statement in addition to the information you provide over the telephone. You should contact Security Forces as soon as you observe the unsafe actions; however, we do ask that you first stop your vehicle in a safe location and obey all traffic instructions while doing so. Calls for Service - Security Forces responded to about 123 calls for service during December, including: - 45 alarm responses - 12 medical responses - 12 motor vehicle accidents Are you an Automated Entry Control Card (AFECC) holder?- Please ensure your unit security manager has accounted for your badge.
