In honor of the Air Force's 60th anniversary more than 900 people attended the black tie affair themed, "Heritage to Horizons."

The Air Force Association Lance P. Sijan Chapter 125 hosted the ball, held at the Broadmoor International Center. The Tops In Blue performed for the third consecutive year.

"The Lance Sijan Chapter looks forward every year to the opportunity to honor our Airmen and celebrate their dedication and professionalism," said Brian Binn, president of the Lance P. Sijan Chapter.

Among the distinguished guests were Gen. Kevin Chilton, commander, Air Force Space Command, and his wife Cathy; Peter Teets, former Secretary of the Air Force, and his wife Vivian; and Boyd Anderson, vice chair for Aerospace Education, National AFA Board.

"It was an exceptional event," said Col. Alvin Kemmet Jr., AFSPC director of staff. "They seem to get better and better."
