Peterson Fire Department responds to reported fire

Three crash trucks from this base responded to a fuel spill at a gas station on Drennan Road at approximately 7:45 a.m. Feb. 7.

No fire was found when base firefighters responded to the scene. Colorado Springs Fire Department arrived on scene and assumed control of the situation. 

Peterson AFB and Colorado Springs have mutual aid agreements that Peterson will provide crash and rescue service to the local community. Base emergency services personnel work closely with city agencies to ensure prompt response during incidents. 

Peterson crash, fire and rescue pride themselves on rapid initial response and community support. As part of our community partnership, Peterson forces provide initial crisis control until civilian responders can arrive and take command.
