2007 Team Peterson Junior Enlisted Member of the Year

Airman 1st Class Brittanie Pierce postured 386 personnel authorizations, increasing the Air Force Space Command personnel footprint by 40 percent in the area of responsibility. As the focal point for AFSPC headquarters hurricane accountability, more than 65,000 "Total Force" personnel were accounted for within minutes. She coordinated 75 deployment taskings with 18 unit commanders and personnel readiness units with flawless execution. 2007 Team Peterson Non-commissioned Officer of the Year

Staff Sgt. Rory Sturm, Jr., displayed selfless acts of valor and heroism by replacing a wounded gunner during an enemy ambush, saving 12 lives. He was awarded the 21st Space Wing's first-ever Air Force Combat Action Medal. While deployed to Camp Bucca, Iraq, he supported 3,000 coalition forces while maintaining security over 12,000 detainees and $300 million in government assets. 2007 Team Peterson Senior Non-commisioned Officer of the Year

Master Sgt. Chris Vossmer, the Team Peterson Senior Non-commissioned Officer of the Year, completed his bachelor's degree in management, command the local Veterans of Foriegn Wars Post 9669, orchestrated the Headquarters, Air Force Space Command assumption of command parade, attended by 500 dignitaries and performed as a full-time superintendent, academic instructor and first sergeant augmentee. 2007 Team Peterson First Sergeant of the Year

Master Sgt. Thomas Pavlick, the Team Peterson First Sergeant of the Year, was the led for organizing nine deployed family dinners, supporting more than 1,300 family members. He was also the vice president of Team Pete's Operation Warm Heart, providing 250 needy families with Thanksgiving food baskets. Sergeant Pavlick also authored the 21st Space Wing's supplement to Air Force Instruction 36-2903 and was the Air Force Sergeant's Association division 11 vice present and divison 11 and 12 convention planning committee leader. 2007 Team Peterson Company Grade Officer of the Year

among his numerous outstanding deed during 2007, Capt. Theodore Celen spend more than six month deployed to Iraq where his duties took him across 2,000 milies of hostile territory as he established critical communications capabilities at 65 locations for more than 1,500 combat Airmen. Specifically, while under threat of sniper fire, he installed communications equipment in the Baghdad area which enabled more than 1,000 "outside the wire" combat patrols. Recognized as a software expert, Mr. James Klein single-handledly moved communication demarc closed to DISA, eliminating two redundant communications layers, saving $250,000. His knowledge and efforts have directly resulted in the highest performance and accuracy rate of a Global Positioning System in the programs more than 20 year history. During 2007, Mr. Lanny Eller led his 23-man shop to complete more than 1,800 jobs. His leadership and oversight of numerous Peterson Air Force Base projects lead to the renovation of the STRIPES collocated club, relacement of airfield obstruction lighting, electrical upgrades for the base education center and the installation of $2 million of a land mobile radio network.
