Favorite thing about being in the Air Force: "The thing I like most about being an Airman is that it has given me the opportunity to serve my country by defending it for my family and friends back home and so that my future children will be able to enjoy the same quality of life that I have enjoyed growing up."

Why he was selected for this award: "Simply put, A1C Alex A. Weber is an example of an Airman firing on all cylinders. He is eager to put his best foot forward, he learns fast and he sets the example both on and off duty. I rely on A1C Weber to get the mission done, be it providing defense red switch network equipment and secure communication support for the NORAD-NORTHCOM Command Center and the numerous general officers on base that lead the defense of our nation, both at work and in their homes. A1C Weber presents a professional image to our customers and represents our shop and squadron quite well. As a quick study, A1C Weber proved himself when we sent him on a three-week long temporary duty assignment to learn DRSN equipment and returned as an Honor Graduate, the top of his class. Off duty, Alex is an example to his peers. He volunteers in the community, and just generally stays out of trouble while not being a recluse. He is quite the affable person and has it within him to become a great leader in our Air Force. I put my trust in this Airman, and that is why I think A1C Weber earns the 21st Space Wing First Knight Award." - Staff Sgt.
