What is your favorite thing about the Air Force? "During my 23-plus years in the Air Force, both as a jet engine mechanic and working in personnel, I enjoyed the teamwork and interaction with people from different backgrounds. Now as a civilian working in MPS, I still see the teamwork and enjoy working with people that love the job as much as I do."

Why selected: "World class! With 50 percent manning, he processed 100 ID cards and, during a six-day period, was responsible for 268 cards, processing over 49 percent of all cards during that period without any complaints while maintaining superior customer service. He devised a DEERS update worksheet to add dependent information without having to wait to be seen by the ID card technicians, which saves time for both technicians and customers (customers no longer have to wait to be seen and updates are done before the end of the day). He's a go-to person; his assistance and guidance is continually sought on myriad issues with ID cards and printers. He provides top-notch service and training to newly assigned persons. He's also developing tri-folds to assist members with valuable information and a quick reference sheet of agencies and phone numbers to contact after marriage, divorce or birth of a child. Mr. Stewart is also a team player. He's assisted front counter personnel with customers, which alleviates wait times and answers questions for customers - allowing members not to have to see customer service personnel. He works daily and weekly TRs, ensuring that changes in active duty members' status are updated in both DEERS and MilPDS and that all records reflect the same information." - Master Sgt. Michael Joseph, 21st Force Support Squadron military personnel section superintendent.
