Bowling Center installs new equipment Published Aug. 26, 2008 By Margie Arnold 21st Force Support Squadron PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- Peterson Bowling Center Assistant Manager Larry Mullis announced recently that bowling play will be suspended at the facility through Sept. 3 while new pinspotters are installed, along with new pins and new house balls. "The new equipment will help improve the quality of play for our customers," Mr Mullis said. "With new pinspotters, pins, and house balls, our customers will enjoy better bowling days." The Strike Zone Café, the Bowling Center's snack bar, remains open for business during this time. Through the Labor Day weekend, the Café is closed Aug. 30 - Sept. 1, but reopens at 11 a.m., Sept. 2. "I'm looking forward to a good intramural bowling season," Mr. Mullis said. "Because the Bowling Center will resize to 12 lanes, there will be three intramural leagues this year, each limited to 12 teams." Leagues will play at 3:30 p.m., Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Members who missed the organizational meeting for intramural bowling can still pick up a registration form at the Bowling Center or call 556-4067. The Bowling Center, Bldg. 406, is on Ent Blvd. between the Fitness and Sports and Aquatic Centers.
