Peterson to implement barrier plan

Peterson AFB will exercise its Antiterrorism Barrier Plan Jan. 22 and 23. Base personnel will experience temporary parking restrictions while the plan is exercised over the 48-hour period, and reduced parking areas will cause some customers some inconvenience. Every attempt will be made to reduce conflict while base officials exercise this plan.

Affected areas include:
- The base fitness center parking lot, Building 560; all patrons are encouraged to park across Ent Avenue or in the parking lot adjacent to the former enlisted club,
- Southbound traffic on Peterson Boulevard reduced down to one lane, in front of Building 1470 -- near the base auditorium and chapel,
- The base medical clinic, Building 959, parking lot adjacent to Vincent Street,
- All dormitory parking lots,
- The Child Development Center, Building 1350.

Wing officials ask for your support and patience while they exercise this plan. Smooth execution of this plan enhances base force protection measures critical to the safety and security of our installation during periods of crisis.
