Army and Air Force Exchange Service senior leadership visited the Peterson Air Force Base Exchange March 17.

Brig. Gen. Francis Hendricks, AAFES Corperation deputy commanding general, and Chief Master Sgt. Jeffry Helm, AAFES senior enlisted advisor, met with wing and garrison leadership and AAFES customers to discuss present and future projects.

"It's important that AAFES educates, listens to, and addresses our more than 11.6 million customers," Chief Helm said. "This opportunity to interact with our customers only strengthens our ties in the military community."

Army and Air Force Exchange Service Corporation's dual mission is to provide quality products and services to active duty, reserve, guardsmen, their families and retirees and to generate earnings to supplement Army and Air Force service programs.

Along with their Peterson visit, General Hendricks and Chief Helm are scheduled to visit the Air Force Academy, Schriever Air Force Base and Fort Carson.

"We've come a long way in the last three years when you consider the terrific upgrade from our old BX to our new one," said Col. Jay Raymond, 21st Space Wing commander.

"I was proud to meet and host General Hendricks and Chief Helm and hear several customer's perspectives concerning our exchange."
