TVC offers Peterson Airmen, families better quality of life Published May 19, 2009 By Tierra Vista Communities Peterson Air Force Base, Colo. -- There are 222 new homes currently being built here near the old driving range as part of the housing privatization initiative. Construction is currently being done in two phases. In the first phase, which includes homes on Langley, Mitchell and Perrin streets, all streets, gutters and curbs have been finished and streetlights are being installed along driveways and sidewalks. Sixteen homes are in the final stages of construction which involves placing cabinets, interior finishing and flooring inside the homes. Exterior landscaping and the installation of privacy fence are scheduled to begin in the near future. The first home is slated to be available in August. The first phase of construction is comprised of a mixture of field grade officer, company grade officer and senior noncommissioned officer homes. Of the 93 included in phase 1, 70 will be FGO homes, nine will be CGO homes and 14 will be SNCO homes. During the first phase of construction, the FGO homes will be the first completed, followed by CGO and senior NCO homes. Once all homes are completed in 2013, Actus Lend Lease will deliver 597 new homes for Peterson residents.
