Get 'bike' to work! HAWC sponsors bike ride, scavenger hunt Published June 2, 2009 By Terri Fisher 21st Aerospace Medicine Squadron Health and Wellness Center PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- All Team Peterson members are invited to join the Health and Wellness Center for "Ride to Work Day," 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. June 10. Peterson Airmen and civilians are encouraged to ride their bicycles to work or park their cars at the office and ride to the chapel for a free breakfast prepared by the Health and Wellness Center staff. For more fun in the saddle, a scavenger hunt is scheduled immediately after the breakfast. Each participating team of two-to-four riders will be given instructions to six specific locations within a two mile area. When riders reach the first destination, a sign will give them their next clue. Prizes will be awarded to individuals and teams at the final destination. There is no bonus for finishing early, so participants are encouraged to take their time and ride safely. A random drawing for an MP3 music player will be held at the end of the scavenger hunt; participants must be present to win. Anyone wishing to participate may sign-up for the breakfast and the scavenger hunt at https://halfway.peterson.af.mil/hawc//pha/cfupdate.cfm
