Construction set to close Dover Street Published April 13, 2010 By 2nd Lt. Andy Betz 21st Civil Engineer Squadron PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- Construction closing Dover Street permanently between Suffolk and Malmstrom streets will begin no earlier than April 23. The closure is to make room for a new building adjacent to buildings 890 and 895, and to increase force protection in the area. Parking lots near the facilities will remain accessible. During the construction, occupants and visitors should drive carefully and expect heavy construction traffic to, from, and around the construction site. The base population should avoid the area except for official business. Personnel may still use Ent Avenue, adjacent to the temporary lodging facilities, to transit between Suffolk and Malmstrom streets. The work is currently projected for completion in late July.
