The Air Force Honor Guard Drill Team is scheduled to perform at 3 p.m. Sept. 29, at the Peterson Air Force Base Museum's Medal of Honor Park.

According to the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard's Web site, www.honorguard.af.mil, the men and women of Peterson can expect to see a variety of tightly choreographed maneuvers, including a routine during which drill team members "simultaneously hurl their 11-pound weapons over and around their commander."

"We're very excited to host the Air Force's premier drill team, said Col. Stephen N. Whiting, 21st Space Wing commander. "Their precision and professionalism are hallmark of the Air Force standards, and I highly encourage we all take time from our daily routines to experience a part of Air Force heritage."
