21st FSS kicks off its CFC event – a potluck with pie Published Oct. 5, 2010 By Margie Arnold 21st Force Support Squadron PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- The 21st Force Support Squadron kicked off its Combined Federal Campaign with a potluck lunch and a pie-in-the-face contest from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Oct. 7, in the Building 350 atrium. The squadron asked its personnel to contribute beverages, appetizers, desserts, entrees, dinnerware, plates, napkins and other items to the lunch. "We can't tell you what's for lunch because at this point we don't know," said 2nd Lt. Paul Hizon, 21st FSS CFC co-chair along with 1st Lt. Alyssa Tetrault. "But with so many good cooks in our squadron, this could be a real feast. Besides, who doesn't like good, cheap eats?" And, he said, the potluck lunch is open to everyone on base, not just FSS personnel. As far as the pie-in-the-face contest, numerous Airmen and a few civilians have already stuck their neck out on this - or have been nominated. Most will tell you they don't mind a face full of whipped cream if it benefits those in need. Voting is underway at 25 cents per vote. The cost of a ticket to the potluck is $3 in advance, $5 the day of the event. All proceeds will be donated to the CFC as an "undesignated contribution" from FSS. Tickets can be purchased in advance from the squadron's key CFC workers, including Lieutenants Hizon and Tetrault. For more information and to purchase tickets to the potluck, call Lieutenant Hizon at 556-9514 or stop by his office, Suite 1092 in Building 350.
