Aerobics, spin classes cut Published Dec. 12, 2011 PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- With the start of the new year, fitness center patrons will see a change to the spin and aerobic schedule beginning Jan. 1. Schedule changes are due to recent cuts in the Department of Defense budget. "We don't have the money to offer as many classes as we have in the past," said Roger Hill, Peterson Fitness Center director. Still, the fitness center staff encourages active duty military to sign up for the spinning and aerobics classes offered. "These classes are offered for your benefit, to keep you in shape and mission ready," Hill said. Military can sign up 30 minutes in advance of classes, family members and Department of Defense ID card holders 15 minutes prior to class, and contractors may sign up five minutes prior.
