TaeKwonDo member breaks way to win

The Peterson TaeKwonDo Club competed at the Westminster Winter Classic tournament in Aurora Feb. 18. Nine-year-old Mia Guererro, orange belt, earned second place in the forms competition among 12 challengers. During the past six months, six club members have received their black belts, bringing the total number of black belts in the club to 11.

The Peterson TaeKwonDo Club practices the traditional Korean martial art Tuesday and Thursday evenings at the Peterson Sports and Fitness Center. Child and adult training for ages 7 and up includes basics, forms, self-defense, board breaks and sparring. For information, call 556-1515.
