Members from the 821st Security Forces Squadron, Logistics and Training flights, at Thule Air Base, Greenland, locked up the 21st Space Wing March Gold Knight award.

The flight led the identification, justification and staffing of resources needed to execute force protection for Thule's 600 year-round residents and more than $2 billion in infrastructure. The flights also served as action officers for the 2013 Thule Armed Forces Day, an installation-wide open house event designed to strengthen international and local village relations among U.S., Danish and Greenlandic personnel.

Team members include Tech. Sgt. Michael Skonetski, and Staff Sgts. Theodore Burley Jr. and Kevin Kirkland.

Thule Air Base is one of six installations operated by the 21st Space Wing, and is located 750 miles north of the Arctic Circle.
