Thule Airmen land Gold Knight

The 821st Support Squadron airfield operations and logistics flights were named the April Gold Knight winner for their resupply efforts, marking the second month in a row that a Thule organization won the award.

The flights led logistical and airfield operations for the bi-national Operation BOXTOP (United States and Canada) and multi-national NATO Operation NORTHERN FALCON (United States, Denmark and Ukraine) and resupplied three remote sites with more than 8 million gallons of fuel. The work furthered NASA's study of earth's polar ice (measuring sea ice between Ellesmere Island and the North Pole) by executing the installation's base support plan for Operation ICE BRIDGE.

Team members include Capt. Justin Rex, Airfield Operations Flight commander; Capt. Ksenia Voropaeva, Logistic Flight commander; Master Sgt. Sherri Wellman, ATC Complex chief controller; Master Sgt.
