PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. – Chief Master Sgt. Rodolfo Gamez (right), 21st Operations Group superintendent, recites the oath of enlistment during his re-enlistment ceremony administered by 2nd Lt. Jericho Simmons, June 6, 2019 at Peterson Air Force Base, Colo. Gamez has served in the U.S. Air Force for nearly 25 years and has been recently selected as the command chief of the 305th Air Mobility Wing at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J. Simmons graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy one week prior to the ceremony and has a history with the 21st Space Wing as his father is the current 21 SW command chief. The moment was unique as it was the final re-enlistment for Gamez and the first time Simmons presided over this type of ceremony which symbolized the culmination of one career and the beginning of another.
