Gold Knight Award presented to 12 SWS

THULE AIR BASE, Greenland – Col. Doug Schiess, 21st Space Wing commander at Peterson Air Force Base, Colo., presents the Gold Knight Award to Lt. Col. David Ransom, 12th Space Warning Squadron commander, and all of the 12th SWS at Thule Air Base, Greenland, Jan. 12, 2017. All members of the squadron are on a one-year remote tour with the majority of turnover occurring during the summer months, which puts a huge responsibility on the instructors to ensure new operators are ready for the demanding RADAR operations.
