A Peterson Space Force Base Fire Department firefighting vehicle conducts fire suppression operations during a full-scale emergency response exercise at Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado, Aug. 19, 2026. The triennial exercise simulated a commercial aircraft crash and tested regional emergency response capabilities, including fire suppression, incident command, mass-casualty response, and coordination with mutual aid partners. The training strengthened readiness and emergency response capabilities that support Space Base Delta 1’s mission to protect personnel, infrastructure and mission operations.
