Peterson, Schriever Airmen meet COS Mayor

A group of 10 Airmen from Peterson and Schriever Space Force Base met with Colorado Springs Mayor Yemi Mobolade July 8, 2024, at his office downtown. The Airmen shared stories of their backgrounds, and why they chose to become U.S. citizens and serve their country. Mobolade, who himself immigrated from Nigeria in 1996, became the first elected Black and immigrant mayor of Colorado Springs in 2023. (Courtesy photo)
