Families drive the mission
U.S. Space Force Col. Christopher Fernengel, Space Delta 3 – Space Electromagnetic Warfare commander, receives a flag from the High Frontier Honor Guard at Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado, Oct. 1, 2021, as part of a deployment ceremony. This DEL 3 tradition has been celebrated for over 20 years, carried out every time the delta sends off a deployment team to perform their SEW mission for a geographic combatant command. Ceremonies like this give key spouses the chance to check in with the families of those deploying to make sure they receive all the support they need while their Guardian or Airman is away.
