821st ABG welcomes new commander
U.S. Air Force Col. David G. Hanson, outgoing 821st Air Base Group commander, gives a farewell speech during the group’s change of command ceremony at Thule Air Base, Greenland, July 15, 2021. Hanson served as the commander of the 821st ABG from July 2020 to July 2021. During this time, Hanson led the first ever Thule Air Base search and rescue mission coordinating resources with Kingdom of Denmark and Greenlandic authorities saving the lives of six civilians.
