U.S. Navy Seabee Dive Team conducts diving exercises
U.S. Air Force Col. David Hanson, 821st Air Base Group commander, tests the cold Arctic water in North Star Bay, Greenland. The 4-foot-thick ice supported Seabees from Naval Mobile Construction Battalion One and Underwater Construction Team One of the U.S. Naval Construction Force during the Ice Exercise conducted from Feb. 26 to March 12, 2021. Three briefings and demonstrations were conducted during the exercise for 95 Team Thule members to learn about the Seabee mission, view the camp set up on the ice and watch live diving demonstrations.
