16th Space Control Squadron Change of Command
PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colorado -- Col Devin Pepper, 21st Operations Group Commander, hands the 16th Space Control Squadron guidon to Lt Col Ernest Schmitt at a change of command ceremony, June 16, 2017, at Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado. The 16th SPCS is Air Force Space Command’s only defensive space control unit and is responsible for operating defensive space control capabilities to rapidly achieve flexible and versatile space superiority.
