PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. - Army Astronaut Lt. Col. Andrew Morgan visits U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command's Peterson Air Force Base headquarters May 3 to conduct an Officer Professional Development session for the command and local Functional Area 40 Space Operations officers. Morgan covered the history and future of human spaceflight, an overview of Army officers who have become astronauts, and the training program for astronaut candidates, followed by a question and answer session. There were approximately 90 officers in attendance. The Army's Astronaut Program falls under the SMDC/ARSTRAT NASA detachment at Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas, where there are currently three Army astronauts assigned. (Photo by Dottie White)
